Guidelines for Success
Bienvenidos. My name is Sra. Richards and I am your Spanish teacher at Pablo Casals Middle School 181. I have come up with a list of guidelines that will help you to achieve success in this class. Please take the time to read over this information with your parents. I wish you good luck (Buena suerte).
A. Supplies
1. Binder with dividers / Spanish section divided into class work, homework, and vocabulary
2. Several pens and pencils. No red pens allowed!!!!
3. A pocket Spanish/English dictionary
B. Grading Policy
50% Tests, quizzes, and special projects
25% Homework
25% Classwork/Participation
C. Notebook – All class notes are to be kept neatly in your binder. Every page must have the standard school heading with your full name, class, school, and date written in Spanish.
D. Homework – All written homework assignments are to be numbered and include the standard school heading in Spanish. If you are absent, look on my webbly page (Spanish1a1b.weebly.com) or call a fellow student for the homework. No late homeworks will be accepted.
E. Attendance is important for a passing grade in class.
F. Conduct Grade: Treat others the way you would like to be treated. Respect others and their property. Guidelines to follow: (1) Arrive on time. (2) Obtain permission before speaking or leaving your seat. (3) Keep the classroom clean.
If you follow these guidelines + achieve academic success = High passing grade
Failure to follow these guidelines = (1) Contact home, (2) N or U on report card
